Things To Do

If you are visiting DC

Shopping and eating in Georgetown is a treat to say the least. You'll want to spend the day shopping and grabbing a coffee at Dean & Delucas, then end the night at the waterfront watching boats go by and sipping on a much deserved cocktail.

National Harbor.
Throw dice at MGM Casino or ride the famous Ferris Wheel after you eat at one of the famous restaurants on the harbor. If you have families, grab a canoe on the harbor or a paddle boat for 5. Our hometown baseball team "the Nationals" have their stadium close to the harbor. Check out a game, it's a blast!

The Sites
If you're in DC, there is no way you can leave without seeing the beautiful monuments and glorious FREE museums throughout the city. Here is great article mapping out which momuments are close to each other so you can plan your day. If visiting the Library of Congress on Capital Hill, you HAVE to get a burger from Good Eats.

If you are visiting Virginia

Alexandria (Old Town)
Old Town Alexandria is a historic and beautiful experience. Start at Kings Street at the waterfront and work your way up hopping from dinner to drinks to ice cream. This is one fun night full of beautiful shops, quirky bars, and delicious sweets.

This is a hip area with one of the top night life scenes in the DC area. If you're a night owl, we suggest to park in Clarendon neighborhood and find a cozy bar or Tavern to start. There's plenty of live music, dancing and improv options that line the street.

Tysons Corner
Shopping. Shopping. Shopping. This has one of the best malls in the country. It's easy to get to from the Leesburg area, and restaurants here are also top notch.

Another great shopping and eating area is Mosaic District, a mere 7-10 minute drive from Tysons.

Reston Town Center
More shopping and eating that is closer to the Dulles Airport. If you're looking for a good steak, we recommend to splurge on dinner at Morton's Steak House.

If you are visiting Maryland

If you have the time, visit this vibrant city about 1.5 hour drive North. It's full of great beer and lots of famous Maryland crab. If you are a beer snob, this is the place to get your fix.

If you want to visit something closer to Virginia, Bethesda is a gorgeous town just over the border that offers fantastic shopping and nightlife. We recommend going during Happy Hour at Bethesda Row and staying for dinner.
